Boxted - Boxted Hall (Suffolk)

Boxted Hall contains many fine examples of Giant Redwood. Before fences were put around to protect them, a few of the trees were exposed to grazing animals and consequently have some bark missing. As you can see from one of the pictures, the dreaded ivy or tree creeper has been dealt with. Unchecked, this menace can spoil an otherwise lovely tree. Our visit was cut short because of bad weather but we are hoping to return to take more measurements when time permits.
