Stoke sub Hamdon - Fosse Way (Somerset)

Andrew sent this lovely sillouhette of a Redwood in Stoke sub Hamdon. He said; "Here is a view of the fabulous much photographed Redwood at Stoke-sub-Hamdon, known locally as the Holy Tree. It marks the entrance to the village on the south west end of the old Roman Fosse Way. The co-ordinates are N50 56 53.748, W2 46 12.6224." Thanks for your very helpful latitude longitude co-ordinates, they allowed us to go straight to the tree on Google maps street view.

On Google street view we noticed there is also a young Giant Redwood sapling next to the bigger tree and asked if anyone could supply us with a photograph of the young tree. Matthew kindly obliged with the above snap.
